Very complicated fire scenario

The building was built in 2014, designed by the Catalan architectural studio Barozzi/Veiga. The icy body of the building was already hailed as a new icon of the city in the first phase of construction. The project also took first place in the prestigious Eurobuild Awards 2014 in the category: Best Architectural Design of the Year. The excellent acoustics of the symphony hall are due to the special geometry of the walls and ceilings, developed by the architects together with Dr. Higini Arau, a Barcelona-based specialist in architectural acoustics.

The building is used by the Poznań University of Economics. It was built in the second half of the 20th century and is one of the tallest skyscrapers in the capital of Wielkopolska. Collegium Altum is an object with a cubature of 83 thousand m³ and a usable area of about 17 thousand m². Inside, on 22 storeys, there are 485 rooms including 43 lecture theatres. It is a steel frame building with a red metal clad facade.

Measurements of speech intelligibility in the facility were made using a subjective method, with a group of 500 respondents. They consisted of noting down the messages heard by those taking part in the measurements

A network system was used consisting of two cabinets connected by a copper cable and five multi-button operator units, two of which have built-in emergency microphones

The building is a facility located on the edge of town. It is an inclusive school and promotes healthy lifestyles and supportive attitudes.

The building was built in the 14th century in the Gothic style. Initially it served as a residence of Teutonic procurator. Over the years of wars and conflicts between the countries of Central and Eastern Europe the castle was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. Nowadays it serves as a city center for business, culture and entertainment.

The building can accommodate up to 15 thousand visitors and meets the highest organizational and technical requirements, meeting the international standards of sports federations. It is designed to host international sports competitions, concerts and large exhibition events.

Development of a mathematical model for acoustic simulations

The building is located in Warsaw’s Praga district. After the expansion it will reach 93,000 sqm, which will be used by over 260 tenants. Its catchment area is estimated at over half a million inhabitants. A number of pro-ecological solutions have been implemented in the building, thanks to which it was awarded the prestigious BREEAM environmental certificate with a rating of “Very Good”.

The facility was designed for commercial purposes. Its entire space was adapted for the needs of Agata Meble. All stores of this chain are located in such halls.
